Best practices for pitcher health
Avoid Pitching Multiple Days in a Row
Pitchers should avoid throwing on consecutive days, regardless of pitch count, to allow for proper recovery.
Monitor for Fatigue
Watch for signs of fatigue such as decreased velocity, poor control, or altered mechanics. Remove pitcher if fatigue is detected.
Year-Round Guidelines
Take at least 2-3 months off from pitching each year. Avoid playing for multiple teams with overlapping seasons.
